I'm a big fan of We're Not Really Strangers, a conversation card game that simply prompts introspective questions about players and their relationships with each other. I wanted to explore the same experience in the context of music, a deeply personal and revealing component of individuals' lives and relationships. Personally, every meaningful song in my library is attached to memories, stories, and people.
The concept is a mobile game that prompts questions related to music to be played as background music. Conversation prompts related to the song and theme guide a discussion for the duration of the song. The goal is to facilitate the sharing and discovery of music with an emphasis on connection. The game concludes by creating a playlist as an artifact of the conversation. This experiment was born from a conversation with my friend Tea.
